She is an accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy), and follows their code of ethics. Jennifer's therapy room is a safe space where you can come in confidence and share openly about what’s on your mind without judgement. Her aim is to help you become more self-aware, resourced and finally empowered so you can find solutions to the struggles you are experiencing in your life.

It can be scary at first to pick up the phone and make the call to ask for help. It’s a very brave decision to make and it is a step in the right direction to living a more fulfilling life. Finding the right therapist to work with is very important. You should feel comfortable with the therapist and over time establish a warm and trusting relationship.Jennifer also uses Mindfulness in her work to help clients become more self-aware and mindful. This is a useful practice to learn for self-resourcing outside of the therapy room.

A note from Jennifer

"Life is not meant to be easy! I find myself saying this to my clients, to myself, to my children… life is hard and sometimes we need support. Having supportive family and friends to talk to is great however not everyone has this. Clients often report speaking to someone outside of the family circle is so helpful for many reasons – you don’t know me, you won’t judge me, you don’t try to fix it, I feel I can be me, you just listen… Counselling can help address problems and issues that are causing you emotional distress or making you feel overwhelmed. I consider myself to be fairly normal, approachable, compassionate and sincere. I have successfully helped clients struggling with the following issues and more:

  • Anxiety
  • Panic Attacks
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Complex Trauma
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Bereavement
  • Low Self Esteem
  • Loss
  • Suicidal Thoughts & Feelings
  •  Self-Harming
  • Abuse

" Therapy sessions are 1 hour, morning, day and evening appointments available. Please contact Jennifer directly by phone, email or social media.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is an evidence-based integrative psychotherapy treatment method. It is recommended by the World Health Organisation ( WHO) for for children, adolescents, and adults with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). EMDR Therapy draws upon neuroscience (the study of the nervous system) and neuroplasticity (the ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization) which in turn emphasises the capacity of the brain to change and heal.
