Bowen Therapy

David is also a qualified Bowen Therapist. Bowen Therapy is a light and gentle form of bodywork that often brings about remarkable results and long-lasting relief from pain. A Bowen treatment involves a series of gentle rolling movements over specific muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves. These gentle movements have powerful effects on the body which causes the body to begin a natural healing process. Bowen therapy addresses the entire body by restoring balance to the autonomic nervous system. Therefore, it prompts the injured area, and the body in general, to shift from a stressed, sympathetic state, to a rest and repair parasympathetic state. So, not only does Bowen address the site of pain in the body but it also addresses the body as a whole.
